Troubleshooting and error code of Canon Pixma MP258 Printer.

CanonMP258 Error Code P:

P02 (Carriage error), solution:

1. Make sure no foreign object stuck in the printer roller.

2. Clean and check the encoder, may be it splashed by ink.

P03(Line feed error)

Caused: The timing disk maybe dirt/damaged

Solution :

1. Check the timing disk sensor on the left side of printer

2. Check and clean the dirt on the board

P05(ASF sensor error)

Caused : The paper detector sensor is error

Solutions :

Try to replace the one of this part below,

1. ASF / PE sensor unit

2. Motor

3. Board printer Canon MP258

P06(Internal temperature error)

Caused : the printer is overheat inside

Solutions :

1. Clean inside of the printer

2. Replace the mainboard of printer

P07 (Ink absorber full)

Caused : The ink counter is full, need to be reset using canon software

Solution: The printer need to reset using software

P08 (Print head temperature rise error)

Caused : The head is over heating, usually occurs to the colour ink cartridge

Solution : try to replace the colour ink cartridge

P09 (EEPROM error)

Caused : EEPROM board canon MP258 is corrupt or damaged

Solution : Replace the mainboard of Canon MP258 printer

P10 (Logic board/cartridge unit/both of cartridge are damaged)

Caused : The cartridge abandoned in an empty condition for a long time and used continuously to print affecting either of this part : Logic board/cartridge unit/both of cartridge

Solution : Try to replace either of the part above

P15 (USB VBUS over current)

Caused : the printer encountered an over electricity current from the USB Cable

Solution :

1. Try to replace the USB cable

Caused : Scanner malfunction

E05 : The cartridge are not installed properly or either is damaged

Solution:

1. Eject the cartridge and then reinstall

2. Replace the cartridge if it damaged

E14 and E15 : The cartridge are not installed properly

Solution : Eject the cartridge and then reinsta

E13 and E16 : Ink has run out/cartridge need to be reset
